Keil ВµVision can be configured to save the trace buffer to a file, that Tracealyzer can then read and visualize. In snapshot mode, software events are stored in a on-target RAM buffer. Right click on the root project node in the Project window and select Options for Target. Open an existing uVision 4 project or create a new project.

Other RTOSes have very similar guides, found in their respective User Manual (found in the Tracealyzer Help menu). Keil uVision 4 contains an Output dialog tab where users can optionally enable hex files to be generated in the output directory. To include this in your build, check this guide for FreeRTOS. Note that this recorder library only supports snapshot mode.ДЇor FreeRTOS, SafeRTOS and Micrium в™њ/OS-III, Percepio provides a powerful trace recorder library that supports both snapshot and streaming mode. We recommend an Keil ULINKpro or ULINKplus probe to allow for trace streaming, although this is also possible in other ways.ДЇor ThreadX, Tracealyzer supports the included trace recorder from Express Logic, which just needs to be enabled in your build. Tracealyzer uses software-based tracing, so no special hardware is required.

If uVision does not connect to your development board, go to Project > Options for Target > Debug, and make sure 'CMSIS-DAP Debugger' is selected.ДЇor more information on the CMSIS-DAP Debugger driver in uVision, see the uVision documentation.First, you need to enable tracing in your system.

After downloading and installing KEIL, open the uVision using the Keil uVision5 icon on your desktop. This is the link to armKEIL to download the free version.

When building succeeds, click Debug > Start/Stop Debug Session. A limited version of KEIL is available free for download for anyone.

We are selecting Microchip, and then by expanding we are selecting AT89C51 device and click ok. Now in the next window select the device from different manufacturers. uVision does not support building from a network share. Note: Store the project on your local hard drive. To export your project to uVision, you can use either the Online Compiler or Mbed CLI. For more info, please see Setting up a local debug toolchain. If you do not have a uVision license, you can use Eclipse, Visual Studio Code or any other IDE that supports debugging through GDB. Due to the linker limits, this does not work in the free version of uVision.
